The Mount Whitney Trailhead to Lone Pine Creek
We hiked Mt. Whitney on July 17-19, 2005.
Mt. Whitney is the hightest peak in the lower
48 states, with a 14,494 foot summit.
The trailhead begins at an elevation of 8,367' and
continues upward for 10.7 miles to the summit.
